The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) has communicated directly with all potentially impacted patients who are confirmed to have received care from this individual. At any time, any patient who wishes to express concerns about the quality of their care received at any PHSA clinical site can contact the PHSA Patient Care Quality Office.

BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre and PHSA are committed to providing patients with the highest quality of care. We expect all our employees to hold themselves to the highest standards of professional conduct and are committed to upholding the values of respect and compassion for our patients and our employees, leaders, and physicians. We have used this incident as an opportunity to improve. As part of this improvement, we have strengthened our hiring processes and out of an abundance of caution, we have conducted a review to re-confirm that all PHSA licensed health-care professionals hold valid registration with their respective colleges.

Regarding the criminal investigation of the individual named, while we understand the sentencing has occurred, there remains outstanding legal matters with respect to this situation. Therefore, PHSA is unable to offer comment.
