Telehealth at BC Women's
BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre has been offering Telehealth services since 1997. A number of clinical programs host and participate in consultations, administrative sessions, and continuing medical and professional education with distant communities across the province.
BC Women’s Telehealth services include
live fetal ultrasound interpretation. Ultrasounds are performed at local health facilities and real-time images are sent to a perinatologist in Vancouver for immediate review.
BC Women’s Telehealth also offers continuing professional education sessions. Recurring monthly sessions include:
• obstetrical multidisciplinary rounds
• maternal fetal medicine rounds
• psychology rounds
