Dr. Merry Gong completed her medical undergraduate training, residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of British Columbia. She specializes in the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence. She has a special interest in treating postpartum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. She has completed an observership at the Croydon University Hospital’s Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction Unit which specializes in the treatment of obstetrical pelvic floor trauma. She currently works as an Urogynecologist at Royal Columbian Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital, managing complex Urogynecological problems, training resident doctors and undertaking clinical research.
Dr. Roxana Geoffrion is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia and has a full time practice as a urogynecologist at the Centre for Pelvic Floor at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Dr. Geoffrion completed her medical degree at McGill University and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. She then pursued subspecialty fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Calgary. Dr. Geoffrion is the director of the UBC Urogynecology Fellowship and the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Research Committee. She is also is the current president of the Canadian Society for Pelvic Medicine, the national organization dedicated to pelvic floor health in Canada.
Meghan is a physiotherapist focusing on pelvic floor health with extensive experience in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings. Throughout her career, Meghan has worked with a diverse clientele treating people of all ages and genders. She completed her Master of Physical Therapy at University of British Columbia (UBC) and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary.
Since 2022, Meghan has focused her practice on the perinatal population at BC Women’s Hospital in Antepartum and Postpartum physiotherapy. She is passionate about advancing pelvic healthcare and employs evidence-based treatments to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
