Postpartum
We treat women after delivery but only within the first six week post-birth. This will only be a one-time appointment. Postpartum we will see patients with:
- acute neck, back, pelvic, groin or hip pain
- pelvic floor concerns (leak urine, gas or stool; pressure or bulging sensation in vagina or rectum)
- diastasis rectus abdominus (gap or bulging abdominal muscles)
- pain, numbness or tingling in your hands or wrists
- lower extremity neuropathies
Note: there will be no internal pelvic floor exams during these appointments.
Please note that wait times for this appointment can be several weeks. We may not be able to accomodate appointments after 6 weeks from delivery date. If you require physiotherapy assessment/treatment after this time please use Find a Physio through www.bcphysio.org
