Services

We provide the following services:

Confidential ethics consultations - available for our patients, their families and our healthcare teams. No referral is required. Please contact Alice Virani to schedule your consultation.
Ethics for Lunch education series - provides the opportunity for our frontline healthcare professionals to examine key issues and build competencies in clinical ethics. These lunch hour sessions are held each month from September to June. Please email ethics@phsa.ca to be added to our distribution list.
Case of the Month - provides our healthcare teams with the opportunity to explore a variety of complex ethical issues and determine the best plan of treatment.
C&W Research Ethics Board (REB) - is a UBC-affiliated research ethics board responsible for the ethical review of:

Clinical and behavioural research projects conducted on the Oak Street campus.
Studies for which the principal investigator holds appointments with BC Women's & Children's which directly involves patients, records or resources of the Oak Street campus.
